Terrorists Butcher Elderly Men in Gwoza

Islamic militants Boko Haram have butchered a group of elderly men in Gwoza, Borno State, witnesses says.

The terrorists were said to have gathered the men while they were studying the Quran and shot them dead after asking them to lie face down on the ground.

“The Boko Haram men brought out brand new guns from cartons, tested them and shot dead all the men who they forced to lie face down,” a resident who fled the town on Tuesday, March 3, and chose to remain anonymous, told AFP.
“They (Boko Haram) met the slain old people reciting Holy Qur'an in front of a cleric's house. They told the cleric that the study in front of that house has come to an end and ordered them to follow them to where they would further their studies eternally,” another unnamed fleeing resident told BBC Hausa.
“Soon after the Asr prayer they tied the aged people and began to pick guns, telling them that 'you are in our hands today, your end has come. They took them to a new abattoir nearby and killed them,” she added.

Boko Haram militants are also said to have killed 68 people in Njaba, Borno State after an early morning attack on Tuesday.
